School Play!

Don’t miss the community performance of “Esperanza Rising,” by Pam Munoz Ryan, author
Lynne Alvarez, playwright  and Victor Zupanc, composer. Our play is adapted for Phillips Elementary Dramatic Players and will be Tuesday, May 3 at 6:30 pm in the Multi-Use room.

Your family will see a young girl overcome many obstacles on her way to success. Esperanza’s father was a wealthy land owner in Mexico, but when he was killed by bandits, her scheming uncle took over their farm. Esperanza was sent across the border to California to find a place with a family there. Her determination and blossoming spirit helped her thrive in her new home.

Tickets are only $1 for students and children over 3, and $5 for adults. Join us!
