School dress is an important factor in maintaining a wholesome, healthful, safe learning environment. Good grooming and practical clothes are encouraged at all times. Inappropriate types of clothing are
We are very proud of our students and their commitment to keeping Phillips a place where everyone can feel safe and secure. During recess students will:
Be respectful of others' feelings and encourage one another.
Dropping Off & Picking Up Students
Drop-off and Pick-up by car: When dropping off and picking up your student we ask that you drive through the lot using the route below. During pickup, for obvious safety reasons students will not be allowed to get into a car outside of the parking area unless accompanied by an adult.
Loading Zone: Please use the designated loading zone as shown on the map to drop off and pickup your children. Staff members are available after school to assist you in this area.
Please come to the lunch tables at the play structure side of Rooms 2/3 and the children will be walked out by their teacher.
With our very limited space, we appreciate the difficulty of parking while visiting the school. To make our small parking lot function efficiently, we have a few rules:
Materials belonging to the school are sometimes sent home for student use. Please help your student to treat them with care and to return them promptly when asked. Lost or damages items will be the responsibility of the parent.
Beginning early in the school year, students will be scheduled for library time each week.
All students will have opportunities to utilize classroom technology.
Notices, Flyers, Posters
The permission of the Director of K-12 Education and Principal is required before posting or distributing any material on the campus. If you have a classroom related or Parent Club notice to be distributed, please submit a copy to the school secretary for Mr. Manning's initial. Please do not put anything in teacher’s boxes for distribution without prior approval. Thank you. You can see the current flyers & notices from Peachjar here.
Lost & Found
All belongings, which come to school with your child, SHOULD BE LABELED. Students often forget or misplace clothing, books, backpacks, etc. For your sanity and pocketbook, please take the time to label everything taken to school so they don’t get lost in the lost and found. In case the inevitable happens, check the lost and found barrel in the multi-use room. We will keep items for a reasonable length, and then send them on to a local charity thrift store. Students are urged not to bring valuable items or excessive amounts of money to school.

The goal of Napa Valley Parent University is to provide parents with the tools and knowledge necessary to become more involved in their children’s education, at school and in the community.
All of our classes are offered bilingually, in English and Spanish, in the morning and evening. They are provided free and childcare is provided during all classes. We work hard to eliminate any barriers that might prevent interested parents from participating.
Student Council will periodically schedule special spirit days when students and teachers dress according to a theme. (Pajama Day, Crazy Hair Day, etc.) Spirit Day announcements will be made at the daily flag salute and in the Eagle Newsletter. You can find shirts and other fun items with our school logo or mascot on the Spirit Wear page.
A photographer sponsored by Parent Club takes school photos twice a year. A flyer detailing the ordering procedure is sent home prior to the photo sessions. Various packages are available for purchase: pre-payment is required. Make-up sessions are offered for those who missed the original session or were dissatisfied with the photo received.
Students are assigned to a school based on their home address within District established attendance areas. Students may attend a different school based on space availability through open enrollment or transfer request based on specific limited circumstances.
Here is a link to the Napa Valley Unified School District's registration page.
Students may buy lunch at school or bring a lunch from home.
School lunches are available daily, starting the first day of school. See below for buying instructions.
